1. How does Odoo handle the conversion when you buy products in one unit (e.g., yards) but track them in another (e.g., meters)?

You must manually calculate the conversion and update the inventory stock every time a shipment arrives. Odoo’s Unit of Measure feature automatically performs the calculation during the receipt process based on the pre-configured ratio. Odoo forces all vendors to use the company's default unit of measure to avoid confusion.

2. What is the "Reference Unit" in an Odoo Unit of Measure category?

It is the base unit (usually 1 unit) against which all other measures in that category are compared and calculated. It is a special code that only the warehouse manager can see on printed documents. It is the unit of measure used exclusively for international shipping and customs.

3. Where in the product form can you specify that a particular vendor sells an item in a different unit of measure?
