1. What is the difference between the "Auto" and "Manual" triggers in Odoo reordering rules?

The "Auto" trigger creates a draft RFQ instantly without showing it in the replenishment report, while "Manual" waits for your approval in the dashboard. "Auto" is only for small products, while "Manual" is required for furniture and heavy items. "Manual" triggers require a physical signature from the manager, while "Auto" triggers only require an email.

2. How does Odoo calculate the "To Order" amount in the replenishment dashboard?

It always orders exactly 10 units regardless of the current stock levels. It calculates the difference between the Maximum Quantity specified in the rule and the current Forecasted Quantity. It orders the sum of the Minimum and Maximum quantities added together.

3. What does the "Order to Max" button do for a product that is NOT currently below its minimum quantity?

It hides the product from the dashboard because it is not yet time to buy more. It automatically increases the price of the product to match the market average. It generates a purchase order for the amount needed to reach the maximum stock level anyway, which is useful for anticipating future high demand.
