1. What is necessary to find the "technical name" of a field in Odoo (like validity_date) so it can be mapped correctly in a PDF builder?
You must be in the Accounting app and look for the journal entries. You must activate "Developer Mode" and hover your cursor over the question mark next to the field. You need to export all your contacts to an Excel file and look for the column headers.
2. How does Odoo handle PDF text field names that use underscores (like partner_id_name) instead of periods?
It returns an error message and prevents you from uploading the PDF. It ignores the field entirely and leaves it blank on the final quotation. It offers the closest suggestion (like partner_id.name) and automatically maps it.
3. In which tab of the Quotation form can you select which specific Headers and Footers (like "About Us" or "Testimonials") to include in the final PDF?
The "Quote Builder" tab. The "Optional Products" tab. The "Other Info" tab.
